rsokolovПока я писал пост о том, как Чарли Кирк требовал остановить войну, ссылаясь на непомерно высокий уровень российских потерь, и читал прочие его посты на эту тему, Трамп внезапно ударился оземь, обернулся ястребом и теперь уже строит планы восстановления Украины по самый Крым:
"After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option. Why not?

In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!"
Это - разворот на 180 градусов от позиции, которую ранее занимала нынешняя администрация, и которую озвучивали близкие к администрации пропагандисты, например, все тот же Кирк:
"The war in Ukraine is an endless war. Ukraine will never defeat Russia — no matter how much money or how many weapons we give them. There is no clear plan for winning the war. Ukraine is profoundly corrupt, and we have no idea where the money goes and who is siphoning it off. To top it all off, Ukraine’s war goals include seizing regions like Crimea, regions that are ethnically Russian, speak Russian, and want to be part of Russia."
И тут вдруг оказывается, что это Россия не может победить в бесконечной войне Украину, а не наоборот.
С одной стороны, трудно не согласиться с комментарием:
"Honestly, if you haven’t learned after 5 years of this president’s mercurial foreign policy decisions to focus on actions instead of words, there’s really not much to say. But this should keep a bunch of commentators with the memory of a fruit fly occupied for a day or two."
С другой стороны, и проигнорировать это развитие сюжета полностью тоже было бы как-то неправильно. Ключевой вопрос на данный момент — исполнит ли Трамп озвученное намерение возобновить прерванные было поставки оружия Европе или успеет передумать.

С одной стороны, трудно не согласиться с комментарием:
